About our use of cookies and help signing in
You may sign in with or without using cookies.
We delete all our cookies when you click "Sign Out".
You are not required to accept "cookies" to use this site; however, if you choose not to accept them, click the alternate sign in link on the sign in page. If you do not accept cookies, you cannot use the convenient auto sign in feature, and the only way you can sign out is to quit your browser.
There are four cookies used in our system:
Unless you use the "Auto Sign In" option on the sign in page, the cookie information we create in your browser is destroyed as soon as you quit your browser. On the other hand, if you use the "Auto Sign In" option once and accept the cookies, on future occasions, the system will only set one cookie, since the other cookies remain resident on your computer until you delete them using "Sign Out."
What happens when I check the 'Auto Sign In' box on the sign in page?
If you are using a browser that supports this feature, your User
Name and Password are encrypted and saved locally to your computer in a
file called a "cookie," eliminating the need to type them in each time
you visit our site.
When you select "Auto Sign In" you are allowing anyone who has access to your computer to have access to your subscription to AAP Online CME. At any time you may sign out from the "Sign Out" option at the top of most pages.
What happens when I click on 'Sign Out' at the top of the page?
When you enter your username and password you 'Sign In.' This allows you to view access-controlled content.
If you use a computer that others have access to, we strongly recommend that
you sign out when you are done using AAP Online CME. If you do not, then others
can click on Change Password and take over your subscription.
It is quite likely that you do not want this to happen, so we recommend that you sign out once you are finished using AAP Online CME. For the length of your subscription, you can always sign back in and view subscriber-only content whenever you wish.

Cookie Problems:
You are not accepting cookies.

The date is set incorrectly on your computer.
This confuses our cookies (they have expiration dates). Check to see that your date is set accurately.
Your browser does not support cookies.
You will need to upgrade it. See our supported browsers.
You are accessing AAP Online CME via a "proxy server" that is deleting cookies automatically.
You should contact your network administrator to determine whether your institution's proxy server is the source of the trouble.
If you still have difficulty, send us feedback.
