Who can take the courses on AAP Online CME?

In order to earn credits, you must have an active individual subscription to the journal for the issue in which the AAP Online CME course is offered, and the CME activity itself must not be expired.

Institutional subscriptions are not valid for AAP Online CME.

Where applicable, the AMA Physician's Recognition Award is only available to physicians licensed in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Physicians licensed in other countries are also welcome to participate in the AAP Online CME activity, and physicians with current and valid licenses in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico are eligible for credit even if they live or practice in other countries.

How can I earn CME credit?

Credit from AAP Online CME is granted on a per-course basis (usually 1.33-1.5 credit hours per completed course). In order to earn credits, you must be a subscriber of the journal, answer all the questions for a particular course, and then submit the quiz for grading.

What will I receive to document the credit I have earned?

Once you have completed a course and specified how much credit you deserve, your My CME summary page will be updated to reflect the hours earned along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that course.

How do I know that my answers for the CME quiz are correct?

Once you have completed a specific CME course, your test score will be displayed, along with the correct answers highlighted. A link to the preferred answer in the context of the reading material may also be provided.

Do I need to get a percentage of questions correct to earn credit?

No. You must only answer all questions.
